Surrounded by lush gardens, the villa spans two separate bungalows, connected with beautiful wooden terraces. The open-plan design superbly blends inside and out, providing ample space for lounging, sunbathing, and enjoying the island breezes.

Sitting high on the hillside by the pond of St. Jean, Villa Au Paille En Queue benefits fully from the views, facing Eden Rock and the sea beyond. It is just a short drive from shops, restaurants, and the lively beach of St. Jean.

Living Spaces: The indoor living spaces at Villa Au Paille En Queue are breathtaking in their simplicity. Natural materials, tasteful décor, and high-end furnishings all combine here to create a rustic yet luxurious home, ideal for a laid-back St. Barts getaway.

The hub of activity is in the living room, at the front of the main building. There’s comfortable seating by the TV, offering U.S. satellite channels as well as Apple TV. The large windows to one side frame breathtaking ocean views.

Kitchen and Dining Room: Behind the living room is Villa Au Paille En Queue’s gorgeous kitchen. Open and bright, there’s a large island that breaks up the space. Hanging above, a unique tree branch light fixture continues with the natural theme that runs throughout the villa.

Between the kitchen and living space is a small dining table, ideal for meals inside the villa. A screened door on one side leads out to a charming inner courtyard with a lawn and tropical plants. On the terrace outside in the other direction is a second dining table, the ideal place for a relaxed meal and glass of wine while the sunset fades across St. Barts.

Bedrooms: After a long day at the beach or exploring the rugged coast of the island, collapsing into the plush bedrooms is a real pleasure. The design is minimalist and calm, with contemporary whites and grays contrasted with the handsome wooden bed frames.

The first bedroom is connected to the living room, with large windows letting in plenty of light and offering gorgeous views. It has a European king-sized bed, ensuite dressing room, and bathroom with shower.

The second bedroom is situated in a separate bungalow next to the entrance. This bedroom is like the first, but with a different color palette. Each bedroom also has access to Apple TV.

Outdoor Features: The clean design and use of natural woods in the outdoor areas are a wonderful addition to Villa Au Paille En Queue. The island breeze washes over everything, letting you relax with ease in either the sun or shade.

A gazebo with a comfortable sectional sofa offers a cozy spot to curl up with a good book or a cool drink, large enough that it can also serve as a daybed. Nearby, the extended swimming pool offers refreshing luxury, with uninterrupted views over the bay below.

For days at the beach, it’s a short drive down to the sweeping bay of St. Jean. The soft white sand offers plenty of space to lay about all day, and the crystal-clear water is so inviting. For many, this is the best beach in St. Barts.

Amenities: Villa Au Paille En Queue is an excellent villa for a family with children as well as two couples vacationing together. It comes with all the expected amenities, including air-conditioning, a gas grill, a Blu-Ray player, Smart TVs, a Sonos sound system, and fast Wi-Fi.

During the December holidays, the villa rents at the full occupancy rate regardless of how many bedrooms are used.
