Its gardened low-rise layout achieves an elegantly spare stylishness and reflects the laidback glamor of this corner of the French West Indies.

Location & Surroundings

Le Sereno fronts the Anse de Grand Cul-de-Sac, where incurving headlands and a buffering coral reef shelter an expansive swath of warm, shallow waters. This is on the northeastern coast of St. Barts, set between Anse de Marigot to the west and Anse de Petit Cul-de-Sac to the east.

The waters of the bay are protected in a marine reserve, which means they’re brimming with life: sea turtles, stingrays, tropical reef fish, and even the occasional dolphin.

Having this family-friendly marine playground at the doorstep—fringed by a narrow arc of white sand—is a major draw for Le Sereno guests.

Amenities & Services

The Le Sereno beachfront includes a heated swimming pool and sundeck.

The beachside location sets the stage for all sorts of on-the-water—and underwater—activities, not least the stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking that’s complementary for hotel guests.

Meanwhile, the northeasterly exposure of Anse de Grand Cul-de-Sac also makes it one of the island’s standout spots for kitesurfing. Snorkeling, reef diving, chartered sportfishing, and plenty else are available with Le Sereno as a launchpad.

The hotel also offers an on-site boutique—and not just any boutique, but one serving as a St. Barts branch of the illustrious, long-standing Larusmiani brand. Glamorous!

And speaking of glamor, Valmont's signature products and treatments define the experience at Spa Le Sereno. The spa has three treatment rooms, among them the sumptuous beachfront water pavilion. It also offers massages, body wraps, facials, pedicures, and manicures. (In-suite spa treatments are also available by the way…)

The Le Sereno Villas

Tucked in the back of the grounds, Le Sereno’s three villas promise the pinnacle of privacy—all while supported by the amenities and services of a five-star hotel. Each occupies over 7,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor space and a half-acre lush, intimate gardenscape.

Restaurants & Culinary Options

Residing at Le Sereno Hotel, you’ve got multiple options for answering your appetite (and slaking your thirst!).

Restaurants at Le Sereno include the open-air Al Mare, ranked by CNN in 2019 among the best waterfront eateries in the world, and zesty, Caribbean-colored Italian cuisine orchestrated by Executive Chef Raffaele Lenzi. Among the highlights are the lobster spaghetti (Spaghetti con Aragosta) and the cold sliced veal with a creamy tuna sauce (Vitello tonnato).

The Monday Aperitivo tradition at the restaurant pairs irresistible libations with live music at 7:30 PM.

The hotel’s beach restaurant, La Plage, extends the pleasures of Al Mare with casual fare served under coconut palms.

The beachfront access to Anse de Grand Cul-de-Sac and its protected waters is a major selling point at Le Sereno St Barths.

The bay’s sheltered, shallow waters appeal to young and old alike. Coupled with the hotel’s various kid-oriented services, that friendly bay helps establish Le Sereno as one of St. Barts’ top luxury hotels for families.

From the restaurant menus to the boutique, the strong Italian inflections apparent at Le Sereno—a nod to the Il Sereno hotel on Lake Como, also owned and managed by Sereno Hotels—also set this hotel apart from other St. Barts properties.

Insider’s Tips
