With an enviable position above Lorient Bay, Villa Tortue enjoys incredible views of the ocean and offshore islands. The beach, restaurants, and shops are all within a short drive. This villa can be rented individually or can be combined with its neighbor, Villa Carette (villa code: WV CAR), for a total of 3 bedrooms.
Living Spaces: Villa Tortue enjoys a superb blend of indoor and outdoor space, making great use of the location to take in those incredible views. The air-conditioned living area and bedroom share the same space (similar to a hotel suite), opening to the terrace with ocean views.
Comfortable and quiet, the main space is a wonderful spot to relax and unwind. Whether you’re enjoying a cool drink or reading a book, the island breezes infuse the home with the scents of the tropical paradise just below.
Kitchen and Dining Room: The unique layout of Villa Tortue continues with its kitchen, accessed from the covered terrace outside. The semi-alfresco setting is inspiring, giving you plenty of reasons to experiment with local recipes. Our concierge can even organize a grocery delivery, or for a special occasion, a private chef.
The kitchen opens to the covered terrace on one side, where the dining table sits. It’s a wonderful spot to share a meal with family and friends, with the shimmering ocean as a backdrop.
Bedrooms: Back inside, the four-poster king-sized bed promises a wonderful night’s sleep. The colonial style of the bed is matched by several antique pieces in the room, giving the entire home a touch of old-world romance.
A large, modern bathroom and walk-in dressing area are also located at the entrance to Villa Tortue. When rented alongside Villa Carette, both properties maintain complete privacy.
Outdoor Features: The terrace at Villa Tortue offers lounge chairs for either sunbathing or working poolside. With the ocean breeze washing over the entire area, it’s also a tempting spot to drift off to sleep, listening to the rustling trees that surround the home.
When things get too warm, the infinity pool is tempting, an idyllic spot to enjoy a day. From the edge, the uninterrupted views are incredible, taking in the blue ocean and the offshore islands. And when the beach calls, it’s a short drive down the road to the silky sands of Lorient Bay.
