The cuisine of Turks and Caicos is influenced by the raw materials at hand - such as a stunning variety of fish and shell fish - and by the ethnic cuisines of its diverse population.
Fresh seafood, locally grown produce and the best cuts of imported meats are all featured prominently on the menus of the best restaurants in Turks and Caicos.
There are almost 200 restaurants in the Turks and Caicos islands. The main island of Providenciales is where most of the top restaurants are located. Many of them are situated on the waterfront and offer calming views of the azure colored Caribbean waters.
Most of you who vacation in Turks & Caicos will only have a week to sample the best restaurants. You will probably want to have lunch at some of the top beach bars on the island, as well as sampling some of the top fine dining establishments for dinner.
With over 180 eateries on TCI, it can be tricky to decide where to dine. To make it easier for you to plan where to go, we have created three “Top 10 Restaurant” lists.
Those Top 10 restaurant lists should be enough for most readers, yet we didn’t stop there. In the last part of this restaurant guide, you will find some more restaurants that are great options but didn’t make it into our top 10 lists. The decision wasn’t easy.
Let’s start with our top 10 lists for gourmet dining.

Tipping is similar as in the U.S., about 15% - 18% for good service, 20% for excellent service. But be aware that some restaurants in the Turks & Caicos do add an extra service charge automatically to their bills. If you notice such a charge, but you believe that the service you received was excellent and warrants it, feel free to add a supplemental tip to the service charge.
Although there are a number of choices for a romantic getaway in the Turks and Caicos, some of the most recommended include Coco Bistro, Infiniti Restaurant & Raw Bar, Bay Bistro, and Grace's Cottage. Also inquire at Indigo about dining on a private "floating island" in the middle of their beautiful pool.
