Renting Luxury Villas or Booking a Room in a Luxury Hotel - Which One Is Right for You?
There are so many beautiful places to stay in Umbria. How do you know which one to choose? There really is no bad choice, but some different types of accommodations are better suited to specific lifestyles and needs.
A luxury Umbria villa rental offers a little more privacy than a hotel as well as more space for your family to spread out. Villas also have full kitchens where you can prefer at least some of your meals and avoid having to interrupt your day's activities to go to a restaurant to eat.

Whichever type of accommodation you choose, WIMCO Villas will see to all the services you need, including regular spa services, housekeeping, a private chef and more.
Where is Umbria and Why Visit?
Umbria is a region in central Italy, east of Tuscany and about two hours between Rome and Florence. Umbria is best known for its picturesque countryside, charming small villages and numerous wineries.
Part of the thrill of visiting Umbria is driving through the vineyards, laden with grapes in the fall or stark and cross-shaped in the spring, turning a corner and having an historic hill town unfold before you.
You can also visit any number of small villages, each with its own signature wine, local crafts and artwork, or simply walk through the countryside surrounding your luxury villa rental and breath in the calm and the centuries of history.
What Is the Best Time to Visit Umbria?
Umbria is charming most any time of year. However, if we had to choose a time, we'd opt for the quieter, less touristy periods between April and mid-June and between mid-September and mid-October.
In July and August, you'll find the most tourists as well as the highest temperatures, often in the high 80s. January and February are the coldest months, with low temperatures ranging in the high 30s to low 40s.
