Within minutes of the beaches at Peter and Trunk Bay, this villa enjoys exquisite ocean views.

Rich interiors offer stylish luxury, encouraging you to unwind and relax. The old-world elegance is tempered with thoughtful island flairs, like vibrant patterns on the sofas and tropical-themed artworks on the wall. Breezy and bright, the flowing open-plan design makes the most of the tropical island views.

Perched on a hillside between Peter and Trunk Bay, Villa Carlota makes it easy to dive into the natural beauty of St. John. Pristine beaches and national park hiking trails are all within easy reach, while the restaurants and shops in the village of Cruz Bay are a 15-minute drive.

Living Spaces: The centrally air-conditioned main pavilion features a spacious great room, with a combined living room, dining area, and kitchen. Louvered and screened mahogany doors open onto the covered veranda, letting the ocean breeze wash through the house.

The living room has comfortable sofas, ideal for sinking into at any time of the day. A media center features a flat-screen TV, surround sound, and an extensive movie library to dive into on relaxing nights inside.

Kitchen and Dining Room: Villa Carlota enjoys a large, gourmet kitchen, with a ceiling of cypress and custom mahogany cabinetry. Cooking here is a real pleasure; the concierge can even organize a grocery delivery or a private chef.

The indoor dining room features a gorgeous table made from an 18th-century Balinese teak monastery door. It’s a magnificent setting for elegant island feasts during your stay. And for those who prefer to dine in the open air, there’s also a dining table on the covered terrace outside.

Bedrooms: There are 5 bedrooms at Villa Carlota, each with an ensuite bathroom, gorgeous antique furnishings, and ocean views. Flat-screen TVs and Bose music systems in each room also make them ideal places to spend some downtime during your stay.

The master bedroom is on the second level, featuring a king-sized bed, cathedral ceiling, and custom-made light fixtures. The ensuite bathroom has direct access to the villa’s rooftop hot tub pavilion, a fantastic spot for popping a bottle of champagne under the stars.

The second bedroom is on the third level, also with a king-sized bed. Two more bedrooms are in a separate pavilion on the other side of the pool terrace, one with a king, the other with a queen. Both have private covered balconies with ocean views.

The fifth bedroom is across the courtyard in the Cottage Suite, with a pair of twin beds that can be converted into a king. This suite also has a living area, balcony, and a small kitchenette.

Outdoor Features: Outside, soaking up the gorgeous Caribbean weather is easy. Villa Carlota’s covered terrace provides a shady spot to sip cocktails, enjoy a meal, or dive into a good book with the ocean breeze.

Steps away, the T-shaped infinity pool is a refreshing spot to cool off during the day. An in-built gas grill encourages you to host an island-style cookout, while a wet bar lets you shake up a tropical cocktail or two while watching the rosy gold sunset.

For days on the sand, some of the most pristine beaches in the Caribbean are within easy reach. Within minutes, you could be scrunching your toes in the silky white sand and diving into sparkling turquoise waters. Both Peter Bay and Trunk Bay are easily accessed by car.

Amenities: Extra details help elevate your stay at Villa Carlota. This non-smoking property also has fast Wi-Fi, an outside shower, beach accessories, and a fitness room. Please note that this villa requires a refundable security deposit of $1,500, and is available for Saturday to Saturday rentals only.

Villa Carlota in St. John comes with mid-week house cleaning services – contact your villa specialist for more details. During the Thanksgiving and December holidays, the villa rents at full occupancy rates regardless of how many bedrooms are used.

* Note - Please let us know before your arrival which day you would like your midweek housekeeping visit. The housekeepers will arrive at 9:00 am whichever day you choose. If you do not specify your preferences in advance, the midweek housekeeping will be done on either the 3rd or 4th day of your stay if the booking is 7 nights or more.
